NYC rocker YUZIMA grew up on MTV watching childhood heros like Axl Rose and Bono. The rockers sharply contrasted the music many of his friends listened to and the singers his mother played on her stereo in their Gun Hill Projects apartment in the Bronx. YUZIMA eventually followed those early influences to create dynamic wide range indie rock — balancing pop song structures with heavy doses of noise and industrial. His sound prominently features heavily distorted guitars, big pounding drums contrasted with fragmented song arrangments. Yuzima's sound was described by Dan Lucas in Under the Radar as "industrial Achtung Baby-esque rock and soulful vocals" while in the same feature he was called "rising indie luminary". With big themes from empowerment to love and conflict, YUZIMA uses his music as a bullhorn to shout out his ideas to the world.
